Due to a very soggy weather forecast on Monday, we are rescheduling the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Worthy Fate High School to Tuesday, November 19. Same time, same place! Hope to see you there. Please also remember to use the driveway entrance from FM 552 and not from N. King Road. Look for WFHS Flags near that entrance.


The RCHS Interact Club is hosting a Trunk or Treat event on October 30! This event is completely student-led. All guests ages 4 and up must donated two canned goods to benefit area food pantries. Makes plan to join these great student leaders and support area families in need!


Bobby Summers Middle School Students led the school board and guests in the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States of America and Texas at the recent RCISD Board Meeting! They were Brynlee B, Amelia E, and Lily P. They represented Bobby Summers Middle School well! #RCISDJoy



At the recent RCISD School Board Meeting, Principal Melissa Harvey recognized Bobby Summers MS’s Kelli Johnson and Vicky McCoy for recent awards earned at the Texas Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development conference. Mrs. Johnson was recognized for the Strong Content Area Framework Award and Mrs. McCoy brought home the Innovative Practices Award. Mrs. McCoy was unable to attend, but honored for this great recognition! #RCISDJoy

October is National Bullying Prevention Month! Let's take a stand for kindness!


Join us on Monday, October 14 for a Beam Signing Event at future Sara Moss Elementary at 11:00 a.m. Help us celebrate with Mrs. Moss, family and friends as we prepare to open our 8th elementary campus in the Creekside Development just east of Ouida Baly Middle School.
Please note that you cannot access the school site via the Creekside Neighborhood yet. Utilize CR 2656 across from Butcherman's to join us for this special event!



Remember! No school for students on Monday, October 14. This Staff PD/Workday provides our educators with a day to prepare for the upcoming grading period and plan amazing learning experiences for students.

This year, Dr. Hector P Garcia Day is celebrated on September 18 in memory of his significant contributions to the Mexican American civil rights movement. He was a distinguished physician and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Dr. Garcia, a World War II hero, was also awarded a Bronze Star Medal with six battle stars in recognition of his meritorious service to the United States.

This commemorates the formation and signing of the U.S. Constitution by thirty-nine brave men on September 17, 1787, recognizing all who are born in the U.S. or by naturalization, have become citizens. We're proud to recognize this day through learning opportunities around the district.



National IT Professionals Day is celebrated annually on the third Tuesday of September. This day recognizes the important role that IT professionals play in keeping our technological infrastructure running smoothly. We are thankful for IT Pros who keep our district connected!
