Last week, our Royse City FFA Ag Mechanics students put their skills to the ultimate test! They competed against other county schools in a high-pressure, 5-hour build challenge. Imagine: materials, plans, and a ticking clock! ⏱️ Students had to work together, maintain strict safety standards, and troubleshoot problems on the fly—all without advisor intervention inside the work area. This event simulates real job site scenarios, pushing our students to excel. Their teamwork and the quality of their finished project were truly impressive. Congratulations to Parker Peoples, Cody Askren, Drew Grimes, and Austin Carr for their third place finish. 💛🖤💛 It's RCISD cheerleading tryout season! 💛🖤💛 If you are an incoming 9th-12th Grade RCHS Student: -Cheer tryout packets for RCHS will be in the FRONT OFFICE of your child's school starting TODAY!!!! Our cheerleaders will be at Baley MS and Summers MS at lunch TODAY, 2/3, to answer any questions! -Tryout parent meetings for RCHS cheer candidates will be held on 2 evenings, both at 6:00 pm - February 25, 2025, and February 26, 2025, in the RCHS CCA Commons Area. Families can choose the meeting day that best fits their schedule. However, cheerleaders and their parents or guardians MUST attend at least one of these meetings. A completed tryout packet is due at the beginning of the meeting! -The cheerleading tryout clinic will be held at RCHS on Tuesday, March 11 through Thursday, March 13 from 4:30-6:30 P.M. in the main gym.
