Through our partnership with VU (Visionary University) Scholarships, our students have reached a milestone that is truly life-changing. The Highlights: Royse City Juniors have been awarded: 18,765 scholarships! Total amount of scholarships awarded for juniors: $897,191,031 Royse City Seniors have been awarded: 21,712 scholarships! Total amount of scholarships awarded for seniors: $1,039,821,461 Royse City ISD has been awarded: 40,477 scholarships! Total amount of scholarships awarded: $1,937,012,492 At RCHS, we are committed to removing barriers to higher education. VU Scholarships matches students with real scholarship offers from colleges and universities across the country before they even apply. This gives our students the confidence to dream bigger and see that a college education is a real, affordable possibility. We are beyond thrilled to announce the 2025-2026 RCHS Teacher of the Year, Angelica Plata and Support Staff of the Year, Jill Crowell!

Mrs. Plata is a powerhouse in our ELAR department, where she doesn't just teach English; she inspires a love for storytelling, critical thinking, and self-expression in every student who enters her classroom. Whether she’s breaking down complex texts or helping a student find their unique voice, her dedication to excellence and her heart for our Bulldogs shine through every single day.

A huge congratulations to Ms. Plata for this well-deserved honor! Thank you for your passion, your hard work, and for making RCHS such an incredible place to learn.

Mrs. Crowell represents excellence in all she does. Whether she’s solving a problem before it even starts, offering a kind word when someone needs it most, or working behind the scenes to make the impossible look easy, she does it all with a smile and a servant’s heart.

RCHS Emerging Leaders: Leading the Way! We are bursting with pride for our incredible RCHS students who are representing us in the Royse City Tri-County Chamber Emerging Leaders program! On Tuesday, February 17, these bright young minds took the stage during the State of the Chamber Address to present their community service project. Standing before city leaders, business owners, school district and campus staff, and community stakeholders, our students demonstrated the true meaning of leadership, service, and civic duty. This is a training ground for the next generation of changemakers. Our students have spent months collaborating, planning, and executing a project designed to make a real-world impact right here in the Royse City community.
