ROBYN HILL RELAYS
Thursday, March 9 th , Royse City ISD will be hosting the Robyn Hill Relays at RCISD Stadium. The meet will begin at 3:45 pm with all the field events. The running events will begin at 5:30 pm. This is the inaguaral running of the Robyn Hill Relays named after former Royse City Coach Robyn Hill.Robyn taught and coached at Royse City from 2009 to 2013 where she led the volleyball program to 3 straight playoff appearances including back to back district titles. Coach Hill was also very integral in the success of our track program as an assistant in her time at Royse City. Robyn was best known for her personality, fiery in competition but at the same time such a wonderful and sweet soul to everyone. Coach Hill never met a stranger and was always there for everyone, no matter what that meant or took. Robyn lost her battle to cancer on July 5, 2015. She is missed every day, but the legacy she left on RCISD, on this community, and on all of us lives on. We look forward to running a great meet and we encourage you all to come out to support our kids and honor Coach Hill.
*There will be t-shirts for sale and a chance to donate at the entrance to the meet(100%of the t-shirt sales and donations will go to the Robyn Hill Scholarship Fund). There are multiple scholarships given from this fund annually, including one to a deserving Royse City girl athlete each year.
