ROYSE CITY, TX – The Royse City High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee is proud to announce the Class of 2025 Inductees. This exceptional class includes four celebrated athletes whose accomplishments span football, girl’s basketball, soccer, and track & field.
Meet the Class of 2025 Inductees
Brock Wempa (Class of 2009) - Football
A four-year letterman and a dominant force on the offensive line, Wempa was a three-time Associated Press All-State selection and a First-Team All-State honoree. His senior year saw him rack up an incredible 73 pancake blocks, leading the Bulldogs to the playoffs. After high school, Brock played at Tyler Junior College and Lamar University. He is recognized as one of the best linemen to ever represent RCHS.
Jennyfer Caracheo (Class of 2017) - Soccer
A standout mid-fielder, Caracheo was a four-time, First Team All-District honoree and District Offensive MVP. She was a key player in multiple playoff runs. Jennyfer continued her career at the University of Southern Mississippi, becoming one of the program's most decorated players. She was a four-year letter winner, earning C-USA All-Conference honors and a spot on the All-Tournament Team, while finishing among the Golden Eagles' offensive leaders, highlighted by a hat-trick performance.
Maci Bookout (Class of 2020) - Girl’s Basketball
Bookout's career is defined by exceptional leadership and skill. A three-time captain and two-time District MVP, she finished her career with 1,788 points, 404 steals, and 417 assists. She was a four-time, First Team All-District honoree and earned the prestigious recognition of a McDonald's All-American Nominee in 2019-2020. Maci was a four-year contributor at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she also earned multiple All-Academic honors.
Kayla Hutchins (Class of 2020) - Track & Field
A record-setting track athlete, Hutchins earned two UIL State medals in Triple Jump (bronze and silver) and her mark of 40 feet 1 inch, remains the school record. A four-time regional qualifier in multiple events, Kayla went on to compete at the University of Iowa. She became a four-time letter winner and ranked among the Hawkeyes' all-time best in the Triple and Long Jump during her collegiate career.
About the Hall of Fame
The RCHS Athletic Hall of Fame was founded in 2017 to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to the tradition of athletic excellence at Royse City High School.
The RCHS Athletic Hall of Fame Committee meets annually to review public nominations and carefully select new inductees. The committee currently consists of the RCISD superintendent, RCHS principal and athletic directors, community stakeholders, and alumni.
