Congratulations to Payton Brevard from Miss May Vernon Elementary School for being selected as the March Royse City Rotary Club Student of the Month! Payton was selected by her campus leadership, teachers and peers for this honor. Payton's principal, Mr. Christensen had this to say, "Payton was nominated for the Rotary Club Student of the Month because she displays superb leadership skills. She has served in the MMV Student Council for two years being voted in by her peers. She was also elected as this year's Student Council President. Payton leads the council in meetings and service projects. She is not only a leader here, but also in class. Payton's quiet demeanor is calming and students greatly admire her in the classroom. She is a great leader in class by helping her teachers and fellow students with any need that arises. She often does this without being asked. Payton is also involved in the Lead Up program at MMV which serves the school with numerous projects."
