Congratulations to 5th grader Micah Emuakpeje from Harry H Herndon Elementary School for being selected as the February Royse City Rotary Club Student of the Month! Micah was selected by his campus leadership, teachers and peers for this honor. Micah's principal, Mrs. Alexander has this to say, "Micah always demonstrates exceptional dedication, hard work, and a commitment to excellence both in the classroom and within our community. He consistently goes above and beyond, showing leadership, responsibility, and a willingness to help others. He assists in putting up and taking down the flags each day, serves on student council, and is a member of our district’s Student Advisory Council. He represented Herndon at a recent board meeting as one of the students selected to lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Micah is always so polite to all adults and peers. Herndon is so proud to select Micah as our Rotary Club Student of the Month."
