Today was a day of recognition at Summers Middle School! Teacher of the Month: Congratulations to Mrs. Lane on being named Teacher of the Month! District Recognition: A huge shoutout to Mrs. Roeling for being honored by the district with the Secondary Spotlight Award! Student of the Month: Congratulations to Amelia Velez, Lucy Eckert, and Isabella McCollum for being voted by their peers for being #summerstrong Kindness Students of the Month: We're proud to recognize Lucy Eckert and Brinley Hancock for their kindness and compassion. We are so proud of all our students and staff!

Last week we honored our incredible para-professionals at the annual brunch. This special tradition, inspired by the late Peggy Webb, celebrates those who provide invaluable support to our students and teachers. Our guests enjoyed a catered breakfast, shopped at a Holiday Bazaar pop-up shop, and were treated to a special performance by the Ruth Cherry Elementary Choir. Thank you para-professionals! Yesterday was truly a memorable day as we honored our former superintendent, Mr. Worthy, at the ground breaking ceremony for Worthy Fate High School. It was an exciting opportunity to look forward to the bright future ahead for our students in the district while also taking moment to reflect on the remarkable growth of our community. A heartfelt thank you goes out to the communities of Royse City and Fate for their unwavering support. We also want to express our gratitude to VLK Architects and North Star Builders for their contributions in shaping the facilities that support our students’ success. MAP Testing Dates: MAP Reading Tuesday 11/12 MAP Science Thursday 11/14 MAP Math Tuesday 11/19 - Please make sure Chromebooks are charged on testing days & that the student brings their charger to school. It is important that students take MAP tests. Please have your child attend on testing days so that they do not miss instructional time for makeup testing.
