RCISD is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Carlos Soliz as the new principal of Bobby Summers Middle School. Mr. Soliz transitions to this role from his current position as Associate Principal at Royse City High School.
Mr. Soliz brings a strong background in campus leadership within RCISD and beyond. His previous roles include serving as an assistant principal at both the high school and middle school levels in Royse City, as well as in Mesquite ISD. Earlier in his career, Mr. Soliz also served as a math teacher, social studies teacher, and coach.
Known for his ability to cultivate positive and meaningful connections with both students and staff, Mr. Soliz is described as a calm and confident leader. He is widely regarded as a caring and compassionate individual who holds a deep belief in the potential of students. Mr. Soliz is recognized for his skill in fostering a positive culture in his daily interactions. His commitment to high expectations for staff and students, coupled with his dedication to collaborative relationships with families, are among his most notable qualities.
