We are proud to announce that the 2026 College Board National Recognition Program has recognized 40 RCHS students. The College Board awards high-achieving 10th and 11th-grade students with official academic honors they can share on college and scholarship applications, helping them stand out to admission officers nationwide.
Eligibility for these recognitions is based on students’ exceptional performance on AP® Exams and/or PSAT assessments. To qualify, students must demonstrate strong academic achievement by earning a GPA of 3.5 or higher and excelling on exams such as the PSAT, NMSQT, PSAT 10, or Advanced Placement tests.
The College Board National Recognition Program celebrates academic excellence through three recognition pathways:
School Recognition Award: This distinction honors students who exemplify academic excellence within our high school, acknowledging their dedication and success in challenging coursework.
Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award: Designed to ensure national visibility for students in less-populated areas, this award highlights the achievements of those attending rural or small-town schools.
First-Generation Recognition Award: This award recognizes students whose parents do not hold a four-year college degree, celebrating their perseverance as trailblazers in pursuit of higher education.
These designations go beyond simple certificates. They give students a way to showcase their accomplishments on college and scholarship applications, opening doors to future academic and scholarship opportunities while celebrating their academic achievements on a national stage.
