ROYSE CITY, TX -- The Royse City ISD Education Foundation has announced that applications are now open for the prestigious RCHS Class of 2026 Top Dog recognition program. This initiative honors a select group of Royse City High School Seniors who have demonstrated exceptional achievement across academic, extracurricular, and community endeavors, as well as outstanding leadership.
Every year, the "Top Dog" students are celebrated at a special banquet and given the unique opportunity to recognize an influential RCISD educator who has made a significant impact on their lives. Both the student and the honored educator are recognized at the annual Top Dog Banquet.
Key Dates for the Top Dog Program
The application period is currently open. All eligible RCHS Seniors are strongly encouraged to apply.
Application Period: October 1, 2025 to November 1, 2025
Top Dog Banquet: March 4, 2026
Criteria for Applying
To be eligible for the "Top Dog" designation, RCHS Seniors must meet the following criteria:
Must have attended Royse City ISD for at least their junior and senior year.
Cumulative weighted GPA of 2.5 or higher.
Participation in School Clubs and/or Organizations.
Volunteer work/Community service (must have at least 100 hours in grades 9-12).
Held any type of Leadership Position(s).
Participation in Academic, Athletic, and/or Extracurricular Activities.
Include one letter of recommendation from an RCHS staff member (must be uploaded to the application).

Students should note that applications do not have to be completed all at once, but they must select "WHEN COMPLETE SUBMIT" before the November 1, 2025, deadline. Once submitted, applications cannot be edited.
All applications will be carefully scored and selected by a committee. Only applicants selected for the "Top Dog" honor will be notified by the end of November.
