ROYSE CITY, TX – The Royse City High School Mighty Bulldog Band continued its impressive competitive season this past weekend, achieving top placements at the highly regarded Sounds of Fall Marching Contest in Princeton, Texas.
The RCHS Band delivered a powerful performance, earning 2nd Place Overall in the Preliminary Competition and advancing to secure 5th Place Overall in the Final round. The program’s percussion section received special distinction, taking home 1st Place Overall in Percussion, a testament to the students’ dedication and musicality.
The Mighty Bulldog Band’s 2025 show, "Blink," is a dynamic performance that continues to impress judges and audiences alike. Community members and fans have multiple opportunities to experience the show this season:
Football Games: The Band performs its show during halftime at all RCHS Varsity Football games.
Royse City Marching Classic: Saturday, October 11th, the Band will perform in the exhibition at RCHS Stadium at 4:00 PM.
UIL Region Marching Contest: Saturday, October 18th, at Mesquite Memorial Stadium. The Band performs at 3:45 PM.
UIL Area Marching Contest: Should the band qualify, they will compete on Saturday, October 25th, at Mesquite Memorial Stadium (Time TBD).

The RCHS Mighty Bulldog Band is an award-winning program, under the direction of Jason Webb, dedicated to musical excellence, teamwork, and community spirit. The band competes annually in regional marching contests and performs at all RCHS football games and district events.
