The school board approved a number of administrative hires. Each will start in their new roles over the summer with contracts starting on July 1, 2023. 

  • Amanda Snyder - Harry H Herndon Elementary Assistant Principal

    • Experienced Pre K-6th grade teacher, campus testing coordinator and assistant principal most recently in Mesquite ISD. She holds a bachelor's degree from Dallas Baptist University and a master’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She joins Principal Rachel Alexander. 

  • Jennifer Rhodes - Ruth Cherry Elementary Assistant Principal

    • She joined the Royse City ISD Family in 2022 as DAEP Dean of Students and has proven to build relationships with students, staff and parents. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She joins Principal Emily Hays and fellow Assistant Principal Dave Christensen. 

  • Jeff Richardson - Bobby Summers Middle School Assistant Principal 

    • Experience ranges from classroom teacher and coach to athletic coordinator in neighboring Caddo Mills ISD. He has a bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University Commerce and a master’s degree from Lamar University. He joins Principal Melissa Harvey and her team of administrators. 

  • Tanner Schmitz - Baley Asst Principal

    • Returning to the Royse City ISD Family, Mr. Schmitz is an experienced middle school administrator and educator. He holds a bachelor's degree from Florida State University and a master’s degree from Saint Leo University in educational leadership. He joins Principal Angelee Morales and her team of administrators. 

  • Melinda Crook - RCHS House Principal 

    • Joining Royse City ISD from Garland ISD where she serves as an Early College administrator. She holds a bachelor's degree from Midwestern State University and a master’s from Lamar University. She joins Principal Brooke McMaster and her team of administrators. 

  • Kim Faulk - Arnold Dean of Students 

    • A member of the Royse City ISD Family since 2007, Mrs. Faulk transitions from PreK teacher at Glenda Arnold ECLC to Dean of Students. She holds a bachelor’s and masters’ degree from Texas A&M University-Commerce. She joins Principal Tammy Oliver. 

  • Erica Lawless - Director of Special Education 

    • Experienced educator who joins Royse City ISD from Sunnyvale ISD where she served as director of special programs. She led a team of 50 staff members with a growing student population. She holds a bachelor's degree from Baylor University and a master’s from Texas A&M University-Commerce.
