New Face on the Board: Cindi Jobe Sworn In

The Board of Trustees officially welcomed Cindi Jobe as the newest member, serving in Place 6. Jobe was certified as an unopposed candidate after being the sole individual to file for the position. She has been a resident of the district since 2004 and is the proud parent of a current RCHS student. Jobe is also well-known for her long-standing dedication as the director of the Royse City ISD Education Foundation. Her extensive experience and commitment to the community are expected to be a valuable asset to the board, following the departure of Dr. Brian Zator, who previously held the Place 6 position.

Understanding the Role of the Board

The Royse City ISD Board of Trustees is comprised of seven members, each elected by the public to serve overlapping three-year terms. Board members are not compensated for their service. Elections for board seats are held annually each May, and following the finalization of election results, the board elects its president, vice president, and secretary for one-year terms.

The Board of Trustees plays a vital role in setting the vision and direction for RCISD, working to ensure the best possible educational environment for all students.
