Royse City ISD officials monitor the weather with road conditions and wind temperatures in mind. Any decision on a delayed start or closure will be communicated to parents via Facebook, Twitter, District Website, e-mail and School Messenger phone calls.

 

In addition, we will notify all local major broadcast channels. We work diligently to make decisions about delays or closures by 10:00 p.m. the night before a weather event. If not, we will make a decision prior to 6:00 a.m. and ahead of school transportation routes. The determination can be based on road conditions in any part of the district. If one bus cannot complete a route safely we will issue a delay or closure. We also consider our young student drivers, student walkers and many parents navigating the roads each day.
