For Returning Students

    Online Back to School Forms for all returning RCISD students will be published on July 16, 2020 in Family Access. The online back to school forms replace paper packets and makes the process faster and easier for families with multiple students. If you do not know your Family Access login credentials, please email FamilyAccessSupport@rcisd.org and include your child’s name and campus. Using Family Access, parents will have real time data about their child’s grades, attendance, assignments and more. Alerts can be set to your individual preferences and the information is easily accessed using the Family Access.

    If you have a new child entering school this year, you can add them in your already existing Family Access account. For Family Access help or login credentials, please email FamilyAccessSupport@rcisd.org or contact Maria O’Connor at 972.635.5020. Be sure to include your name, your child’s name and the campus of attendance.

    FAMILY ACCESS SUPPORT NIGHTS
    Offered for families who need in-person support for Back to School Forms. Masks are required and provided if needed. Hand sanitizer will be provided. All technology and materials will be sanitized after each use. Only 2 people per family are allowed in order to adhere to social distancing. A Spanish speaking staff member will be on site for assistance. Five families can be served at one time which could result in wait times.

For New Students

    KINDERGARTEN ENROLLMENT
    Each principal will release a video on April 28 with instructions on Online New Student Enrollment and specifics to their campus. We wish we could be together, but can still connect from a distance. We'll post those videos here afterward. You may follow their social media accounts and visit their individual campus websites for details. Online New Student Enrollment can begin as early as April 14 if you are ready. Parents of current Pre-K students do not need to complete new student enrollment. If you already have a student in PreK or an older student within RCISD, please do not complete online new student enrollment. You may add your incoming student in your existing Family Access Account. 


    PRE-K ENROLLMENT
    Please ensure that your child meets the required state qualifications. Each principal will release a video on April 28 with instructions on online enrollment and specifics to their campus. You may follow their social media accounts and visit their individual campus websites for details. Online New Student Enrollment can begin as early as April 14 if you are ready.

     

    INCOMING 1st - 12th GRADERS
    You can complete Online New Student Enrollment as early as April 14, 2020. 


    FIND YOUR SCHOOL OF ATTENDANCE
    Use our online 2020-2021 school zone locator to verify your school of attendance. Please note that the boundary lines for the remainder of the current school year may vary. If you are enrolling for the remainder of Spring 2020, please double check your school of enrollment.  You may email communityrelations@rcisd.org if you are in this situation. 


    GATHER YOUR DOCUMENTS 
    You can upload these required documents as part of the online enrollment process. We can also help you complete this task at a campus office if you don’t have access to a scanner. We'll be happy to help with when our campuses and offices reopen.

    • Proof of Residency (utility bill, contract of purchase or lease of home)
    • Original birth certificate (not a copy)
    • Social Security Card
    • Up-to-date immunization record
    • Driver’s license of parent/guardian
