The district calendar is created through a collaborative effort based on input from teachers, campus administrators, the Superintendent, and parents. Each campus has a representative on the calendar committee who works within the parameters outlined by the state to meet the instructional needs of students and the professional development goals for teachers. The calendar committee begins getting feedback in December and meets to work on draft calendars in January. District staff then vote to choose a calendar, and it is presented to the school board at their February meeting. Those wishing to provide input for the district calendar should contact their campus principal.
