Board of Trustees
The Royse City ISD Board of Trustees is comprised of seven board members who are elected by the general public to serve for overlapping terms of three years each. RCISD Board members are not compensated for their service on the board. Elections for board seats are conducted annually each May. Once elections are finalized the Board elects a president, vice-president and secretary for one-year terms.
School Board meetings are held at 7:00 PM on the 2nd Monday night of each month, with the exception of days that conflict with school holidays.

A Founding Member and Director of the Royse City ISD Education Foundation. Scott served as Foundation President for almost 4 years.

Interesting Facts: Eric is one of the founding members of AAMP-92 a non-profit in Arkadelphia, AR which was founded with the mission of providing sound positive leadership, by example. The organization’s basic tenants are: Manhood, Accountability, Inspiration, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift. AAMP-92 is an all-volunteer charitable organization that focuses on various multifunctional programs to help disadvantaged youths realize their dreams through mentoring and educational awareness. AAMP 92 was established to help promote education, mentorship and provide resources to deserving communities.

Interesting Facts: A lifetime resident of Royse City, Bobby is the Bulldogs #1 fan. Bob has written sports articles for Royse City football since 1969 and does the announcing for all Bulldog home football games. Mr. Summers is currently the longest serving member on the board and previously served six year as board president.

He is a member of the Percussive Arts Society Executive Committee, performed as a guest soloist in Carnegie Hall, and has performed and taught percussion on five continents – North and South America, Asia, Australia, and Europe.
