Our next concert will be on Tuesday, Dec. 16th at 7:30 pm in the RCHS Auditorium.

Please plan to attend and celebrate the holiday season with us! Our concert on Oct. 20 was a success. We enjoyed sharing the concert with the Royse City Middle School and Intermediate School Choirs under the direction of Heather Fisher. The newly formed Men’s Choir at Royse City High was a huge success that night, along with the already formed Treble A and Treble B choirs.

Announcements

The Royse City Choirs will be traveling to Disney World in June, 2009!

The dates of the trip are June 9-13. The trip includes four nights and five days at Disney World, including a performance there. Many fundraisers have been arranged in order to help pay for the trip. If a student is planning to go, a $100 deposit is due immediately!

Upcoming fundraisers include:

• Candy Sale – Feb. 23 – March 6
• Garage Sale – in Spring TBA
• Car Wash - in Spring TBA

Disney World Payment Schedule:

• Jan. 15     $150
• Feb. 15     $150
• March 15  $125
• April 15     Balance due!

Mission

The Choir provides an opportunity for students to express thier creativity and appreciation of music while developing vocal skills. Choir students will learn to sing with proper vocal technique, to perform various musical styles and to sight read music. Students will perform at concerts and at UIL choir competitions and will have opportunities for solo and ensemble competition.
