In addition this manual addresses counseling, mental health, social services, nutrition, physical education, and staff health promotion. At the end of each chapter are relevant exhibits, which include forms and helpful resources for school health staff. At the end of the manual there is an index of all of the forms contained in this document. An extra feature of this manual is a legal appendix, which contains the most pertinent laws in Texas relevant to school health practices. Note: Although these guidelines reflect the most up-to-date information at time of publication, users of The Texas Guide to School Health Programs are advised to confirm federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies when using this manual to plan, implement and evaluate school health programs. |
